School of Rock -essay prep/essay 7-
There were two types’of people in this movie. One type is an unfettered person like Dewey, this movie’s main character. He was a very free man even if everyone kept away him. I long this type of people, for example, artists, singer, and adventurers and so on. Another type is an honest person like Rosalie, the principal of private school, Ned, Dewey’s roommate and so on. Actually, all the other characters belong to this type. It’s real, I think. They hide their real feelings or don’t find how to express themselves. Unfortunately, I think I belong to the latter type.
Dewey loves rock and he had been a member to a certain rock band. The members of the band wanted to win a rock contest. But to enjoy music is more important for him even if they can’t win. So he always did a radical performances. But then, such music wasn’t in fashion. Finally, they decided to dismiss him. He didn’t have any money. Then, he posed as his friend and worked in a school as a teacher. There, students were honest. He found they had an ability to play music and he began to teach them rock. They gradually became lively. But it came out that he wasn’t a real teacher a day before the contest. He gave up, but the students didn’t. They came to his house by school bus. They went to the contest and played a song. It made by a student who was the most honest. Seeing them play on stage, their strict parents were very proud and happy.
This movie teaches us two things. First, we should express ourselves even if it is to our boss, teacher, and parents, and of course friends. I know it’s not easy and many people may be afraid to do that. I have remembered one scene in this movie. When he talked with the private school’s teachers at lunch, he said something a little strange thing for them. But they didn’t show contempt; on the contrary, they seemed to enjoy his interesting talk. On the other hand, Rosalie kept away from the students and teachers. I felt their longing for something cool, smart and eccentric. Second, adults shouldn’t force children to do what the adults want. The children in this movie were lucky. Actually, there are a few teachers such as Dewey, I think. It’s true that he is not the best overall. But his best point is that he was good at not only tuning but also wheedling, I think. Due to his ability, children could feel they can as they want. It’s important for adults.
Having watched this movie, I could have some little dreams, but I don’t say them here… Japanese usually work too hard. I want to enjoy both my job and hobby because I think the harder I work, the better I enjoy my hobby. Then, we can spend more lively our life. By the way, I have just remembered my music club’s teacher in my high school. I belonged to a chorus club when I was a high school student. He also loved music as Dewey did. We have to study because my high school’s percentage of students who go on to a higher stage of education was high. Despite that he often said before chorus contest, “Don’t study a lot. Studying is not good for singing.” We have known then that we need studying, but we could relax by his words. He was very attractive and popular among us. I thought Dewey resembles him. It’s difficult to be like them. I want to make a target not only job but my hobby at least and be an uncommon and interesting adult. (686 words)

My Favorite Songs (recently) -List 6-
1. Change the world
-I listened this song for the first time by CM of beer or foaming liquor. I think many people have watched it, appeared Tomoya Nagase. It became my favorite song at first listening. I researched this song and knew it's love song. I have a favorite phrase of this song.
And if I could be king
Even for a day
I'd take you as my queen
I'd have it no other way
And our love would rule
This kingdom we had made
Till then I'd be a fool
Wishing for the day...
I found this song's moving image by Keisuke Kuwata, Southern All Stars, on You Tube. Please listen it! (^^)
2. Once upon a December
This song was sung in the Disney's movie, "Anastasia". Listening this song, I always feel sad. In the movie, a lonely girl who lost a memory sings this song in a old castle. Actually, she was a princess! She doesn't know it, but sing thinking a little memory. This is the words. It's so sad. (><;)
Dancing bears Painted wings
Things I almost remember
And a song someone sings
Once upon a December
Someone holds me safe and warm
Horses prance through a silver storm
Figures dancing gracefully
Across my memory
